Little Acorns teachers are all highly qualified and experienced, currently perform and work professionally in the performing arts industry and are CRB checked regularly.

Our teachers include credited directors and performers from the West End stage, TV and film which enables us to offer expert tuition.  Drama and dance classes are taught by Lauren Shannon a Professional Actress who trained at Mountview Theatre Academy and currently performs teaches and choreographs professionally in the industry.

Lauren Shannon

Hi, I’m Lauren and I have always been a drama queen!! I started dance, singing and acting at the age of three and was a child actress in the BBC television programme Grange Hill.  I then went on to complete my Lamda Gold Drama examinations and after beating fierce competition, I was incredibly lucky to be awarded  a scholarship to complete a BA Honours Degree in Acting at Mountview Theatre Academy, where I also obtained Level 1 Stage Combat/Sword Fighting. I believe that my extensive expertise, training and professional experience, hand picked talented staff will aid all my Little Acorns to grow into mighty oaks.

Laura Mott

Hi, I’m Laura, I first developed a passion for the performing arts as a child after seeing ‘The Lion King’ in the West End. From there I attended stage schools, learned various instruments and music theory, and studied my biggest passion of all – singing! I continued to study music and performing arts at college, realising my ambition to be a music and drama teacher, I completed my teacher training after leaving college.

Verity Bentham

Head of Dance and Musical Theatre Workshops

Hi, my name’s Verity, I started dancing at the age of 3 and at age 13 I attended the Central School of Ballet. At 16 I was then awarded a scholarship to complete a three year performing arts diploma at Doreen Bird College. For the past 15 years I have had a very successful career in West-End musicals, I started in the original cast of Matilda the musical in Stratford-Upon-Avon in 2010 and I’m currently performing as Mrs Wormwoods understudy in the West End production in London.

Caron Pascoe

Lamda & Speech and Drama Teacher

Hi I’m Caron and as a professional singer and dancer I have worked extensively in theatre, film and television and have been an established voice over artist since 1998.  I have appeared in the West End as, amongst others, the singers Patsy Cline, Dusty Springfield, Dolly Parton and Janis Joplin and performed on Number 1 tours for Bill Kenwright’s company. I am also a singer with the piano/vocal duo No Strings and hold a residency at London’s Savoy Hotel and Dorchester Hotel.

I’ve also have worked with theatre in education companies in England and Wales, helped to run private summer drama workshops in France.  At one time I worked a summer as an educational tour guide with the company EF taking American students around London and Paris.

Megan Holmes

Hi my name is Megan and my passion for drama and theatre begun at a young age after attending local stage schools, I started from a young age to performing in plays and creating my own.  This later led to discovering my true passion for teaching and directing. At 18, I gained a place at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts where I  studied for three years specialising in acting, dance and singing.  Alongside this I completed my LAMDA training and gained my Professional Certificate in Education.  I have now been teaching for the past 5 years in both drama/speech and dance in various theatre and primary schools.

Robert Shannon

Hi, my name’s Robert, I have been teaching drama and acting for screen at Little Acorns Theatre Academy for the past 4 years. Since graduating from the London Film School I have over 15 years experience in teaching in leading stage schools whilst performing and directing in TV and film and professional stunt work.
