Verity Bentham

Role

Head of Dance and Musical Theatre West End Workshops, Drama Teacher.

Background

I started dancing at the age of 3 and at age 13 I attended the Central School of Ballet. At 16 I was then awarded a scholarship to complete a three year performing arts diploma at Doreen Bird College. For the past 15 years I have had a very successful career in West-End musicals, I started in the original cast of Matilda the musical in Stratford-Upon-Avon in 2010 and I’m currently performing as Mrs Wormwoods understudy in the West End production in London.

I love bringing the different musicals to life in the workshops and teaching children various dance  choreography and songs that I have learnt over my career. My experience enables Little Acorns pupils to have the opportunity to learn all the different set routines from all the shows and therefore experience a wide range of professionally taught musical theatre.
